Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend the day in Pittsburgh with my dear college friends. I have many friends in my life whom I cherish dearly, but there are few with as long lasting bonds as my fellow Allegheny graduates. Something about living in the dorms, sharing clothes, taking care of one another, and sharing some of the best times of our lives for four years truly creates a life-long sisterhood. Now, 16 years after starting Allegheny, we are all grown up, a far cry from the girls we were back then! We have husbands and children and homes of our own, but our love for one another is still as strong as ever. I'm always shocked at how quickly we all reconnect, even across the miles and after months of separation. It's as if we never left each other's sides. These women are a true gift in my life, and I can't wait to see them again as soon as possible.
