One evening after dinner, the men (except my dad) and kids played their own version of Wiffelball in the front yard. I was surprised that Logan, my aunt's grandson who is 4 and Jacob who is 6, were able to hit and pitch as well as they did. Jacob took T-ball at the YMCA last spring and was, well, not exactly the star athlete on the team! Still, it was easy to see that both Logan and Jacob play games mostly with other adults, who allow them to win. Logan got rather upset at one point, when Jacob tagged him out, because Logan felt that Jacob was cheating. Jake wasn't cheating, but that didn't matter to Logan. He was just upset to be out. Jacob actually had no idea that he was upsetting Logan until it was way too late and Logan was in meltdown mode. There's a funny picture at the end, where you can see the difference in their expressions. The best part, however, is that Jacob and Logan were on the same team! So all the whole ordeal was caused because Jacob tagged out his own teammate! Way to go!
Andrew: "I'm just worried I'm going to get hit in the head with a fly ball!"
