Today Jacob launched rockets with his cub scout troop. What a wonderful event! Jake had a lot of fun, but the weather wasn't great, so he did manage to complain about the cold at least a little. Everything went off without a hitch, though, and when he hit the launch button, his rocket blasted high into the air! That was a huge relief for me, because I don't know a thing about rockets or how to reassemble them, had it not worked! In the end, he was thrilled to have had the opportunity to spend the day watching rockets rip through the air. It was the kind of afternoon a boy dreams about! But, true to Jake's sweet-tooth nature, I think he was even more thrilled with the pack of Fun Dip he got at the snack bar as we were leaving!
You can't deny the power of a cub scout rocket! It's mesmerizing!

Mr. Cautious says, "Mom, I don't want to stand to close to the ignition!"
"Guys, are you sure this is safe?"
"That was AWESOME!"
